Description

Welcome to Hawaiian Pine Treehouse Cabin

This serene rainforest retreat offers a perfect blend of tranquility and modern amenities. Enjoy a portable air conditioner, hot water, and a fully-stocked kitchen for comfort and convenience. Hawaiian Pine Treehouse Cabin is centrally located between Hilo, Volcanoes National Park and Pahoa. Additional perks include use of snorkeling gear, beach chairs, cooler, towels, umbrellas, streaming TV and fast WiFi. But what our guests have commented on the most are the windows and their views of the rainforest.

Local Attractions and Activities here at Hawaiian Pine Treehouse Cabin

This peaceful rainforest cabin is 580 sf and offers a comfortable and private retreat with modern amenities. Located at an 1,800 square foot elevation, it stays cool most of the time, but a portable A/C and dehumidifier are provided for warmer days. The “treehouse”-style cabin is accessed via one flight of stairs and features a spacious bedroom with a queen bed, and a second smaller bedroom furnished with a twin bed and desk is perfect for an extra guest or spreading out a suitcase or clothes. There are two half bathrooms, a powder room upstairs and a shower room downstairs. You’ll love the fully-equipped kitchen with its lush view into the forest.

Underneath the cabin is a loveseat, which our guests say is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the magical rainfall. There’s also a washer/dryer if it’s time to get some laundry done. Or venture out to the gazebo where you’ll find a place to grill and enjoy eating outdoors.

The two cabins are privately situated on 1.57 acres and surrounded by nature, with native Ohia trees, Hapuu tree ferns, guava trees, orchids and anthuriums and of course – even a few Norfolk pine trees. There’s ample free parking just outside on a well-maintained gravel driveway. A separate, identical dwelling (the anthurium cabin) is also on the property, but there’s good privacy between the two. The cabins are on-grid for electricity and have efficient rainwater harvest systems, along with complimentary drinking water provided.

On your journey to the home, you’ll leave Hwy 11 and travel just 6 minutes by vehicle to get to the cabins. You’ll find the last quarter-mile is unpaved, but gravel, and in good condition, adding to the secluded charm of the location. Ideal for those seeking peace and privacy in a rainforest setting.
